How much does a small business website cost?
Updated October 2026

The parts you pay for
- Domain name (for example yourbusiness.co.uk): usually a small yearly fee
- Hosting: where the site lives online, including security and backups
- Design and build: a one-off cost to create the site
- Updates: changes to prices, hours, photos and menus
Our prices
Setup from £300 for a website plus Google Business Profile, up to about £600 for larger sites. Hosting and updates from £30 a month. Fixed price agreed before we start.
Where should your website be hosted?
Cheap hosting is the most common reason small business sites are slow or go offline. Look for UK servers, daily backups and real support. We host our sites with Zume Hosting and also use SiteGround for client sites. If you sell products, Shopify includes hosting in its monthly plan.
Some links on this page are affiliate links: if you sign up, we may earn a commission at no extra cost to you. We only recommend platforms we use for our own clients.
DIY website builders
Website builders can work if you have the time. Many business owners find they're too busy to keep them up to date, and a site that shows old prices or hours can cost you customers.
