About this guide and how we make money

Updated 5 November 2026 · General information, not legal advice.

Who we are

Flight Compensation UK is a free guide published by Web Matter, an independent UK web studio and publisher. We are not an airline, a law firm or a claims company, and we do not handle claims.

How we make money

Some links on this site are affiliate links, for example to AirHelp and Compensair. If you use one and the company gets paid, we may earn a fee at no extra cost to you. We always show you how to claim for free first, and we do not accept payment to change our advice.

How we check facts

Compensation amounts, the three-hour delay test and the escalation route come from the UK Civil Aviation Authority. Where official sources do not give a figure, such as claim deadlines, we say so rather than guess. Read our editorial policy.
