Before your kitten arrives
- Kitten food (ask what they've been eating, and change gradually)
- Food and water bowls
- Litter tray and litter
- A cosy bed and a safe hiding place
- Scratching post
- Toys for play and exercise
- A secure carrier for vet trips
Food
Kittens need a complete food made for kittens. Many owners mix wet and dry food. If your kitten is fussy, small taster packs from brands like Meowing Heads are a cheap way to find what they like.

Health

- Consider neutering and pet insurance early, before any conditions develop
