1. Introduction

These Terms of Use ("Terms") govern your access to and use of ScoreBracket, an online scoreboard and tournament bracket generator operated by WebMatter Ltd ("we", "us", "our"), a company registered in England and Wales. By creating an account or using any part of the platform, you accept these Terms in full. If you do not agree, please do not use ScoreBracket.

2. Definitions

• "Platform" means the ScoreBracket web application, including all pages, features and services accessible at webmatter.co.uk/scorebracket/ and associated subdomains.
• "User" means any individual who accesses the Platform, whether as a tournament organiser, participant, spectator or visitor.
• "Event" means a tournament, competition, match or scoring session created on the Platform.
• "Content" means any data, text, names, scores or other material you upload or create on the Platform.

3. Account Responsibilities

To access paid features, you must create an account with a valid email address. You are responsible for:

• Keeping your login credentials secure and confidential.
• All activity that occurs under your account.
• Providing accurate and up-to-date information during registration.
• Notifying us promptly at info@webmatter.co.uk if you suspect unauthorised access to your account.

We reserve the right to suspend or terminate accounts that appear to be compromised.

4. Acceptable Use

You agree to use ScoreBracket lawfully and in accordance with these Terms. You must not:

• Use the Platform for any unlawful, fraudulent or harmful purpose.
• Upload content that is defamatory, obscene, discriminatory or infringes any third-party rights.
• Attempt to gain unauthorised access to any part of the Platform, other user accounts or our servers.
• Interfere with or disrupt the Platform's infrastructure, including through automated scripts, bots or denial-of-service attacks.
• Resell, sublicense or redistribute access to the Platform without our prior written consent.
• Use the Platform to collect personal data about other users without their consent.

5. Intellectual Property

All intellectual property rights in the Platform — including its design, code, branding, logos and documentation — belong to WebMatter Ltd. You may not copy, modify, distribute or reverse-engineer any part of the Platform without our written permission.

You retain ownership of the Content you create on ScoreBracket. By uploading Content, you grant us a limited, non-exclusive licence to store, process and display that Content solely for the purpose of providing the service to you.

6. Payment Terms

ScoreBracket offers the following payment structures:

• One-off event payments: Starter and Pro plans are purchased as a single payment per event. Access to the event and its features is granted immediately upon successful payment.
• Annual subscription: The Organisation plan is billed annually and provides unlimited events for the subscription period.

All payments are processed securely by Stripe. We do not store your full card details on our servers. Prices are displayed in GBP and are inclusive of VAT where applicable. We reserve the right to update pricing with reasonable notice; existing purchases are not affected by price changes.

7. Refund Policy

All purchases are final. Because ScoreBracket provides digital products and services that are delivered immediately upon payment, all sales are non-refundable. By completing a purchase you acknowledge that access to the product is granted instantly and that you waive any statutory cooling-off period that may otherwise apply to digital content under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013.

We encourage you to review the features and pricing information available on our website before purchasing. If you have any questions about whether a particular plan is right for your event, please contact us at info@webmatter.co.uk before making a purchase.

In exceptional circumstances — for example, where the Platform suffers an extended outage that prevents you from running your event — we may, at our sole discretion, offer a credit or refund. Any such decision is made on a case-by-case basis and does not create a precedent or entitlement for future claims.

8. Data Retention

Event data — including scores, brackets, fixtures and participant information — is retained on our servers for 150 days after the event concludes. After this period, event data is permanently deleted. Account information (email address and profile details) is retained for as long as your account remains active. You may request earlier deletion of your data at any time by contacting us.

9. Availability and Service Interruptions

We aim to keep ScoreBracket available at all times but do not guarantee uninterrupted access. The Platform may be temporarily unavailable due to maintenance, updates or circumstances beyond our control. We will make reasonable efforts to notify users in advance of planned downtime.

10. Limitation of Liability

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

• ScoreBracket is provided on an "as is" and "as available" basis. We make no warranties, express or implied, regarding the Platform's fitness for a particular purpose, reliability or accuracy.
• WebMatter Ltd shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special or consequential damages arising from your use of the Platform, including but not limited to loss of data, loss of revenue or event disruption.
• Our total liability for any claim arising under these Terms shall not exceed the amount you paid to us in the 12 months preceding the claim.

Nothing in these Terms limits our liability for death or personal injury caused by our negligence, fraud, or any other liability that cannot be excluded under English law.

11. Termination

You may close your account at any time by contacting us at info@webmatter.co.uk. We may suspend or terminate your access to the Platform if you breach these Terms, with or without notice. Upon termination:

• Your right to access the Platform ceases immediately.
• We may delete your account data in accordance with our data retention policy.
• Any outstanding payment obligations remain enforceable.

12. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Material changes will be communicated via email or a prominent notice on the Platform. Your continued use of ScoreBracket after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.

13. Governing Law and Disputes

These Terms are governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes arising from or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
