Sponsor boards for charity events
A charity sponsor board has a job beyond thanking people: it shows attendees that local businesses backed this, and it shows next year's sponsors what they get.
Produce more than one format
The same set of logos usually needs to appear in at least three places: a printed board or banner at the venue, a slide in whatever is projected, and a block on the website. Produce all three from one list so nobody is accidentally left off one of them.
Be careful about tiers with small sponsors
A local takeaway giving £100 and a construction firm giving £5,000 cannot appear at the same size, but the gap should not be humiliating either. Two tiers usually handles this better than four.
If a sponsor gave in kind rather than cash, whether a venue, printing or food, they belong on the board. Decide where before anyone asks.
Say what the money did
A sub-heading that names an outcome works harder than a second line of thanks. Sponsors keep the photograph of a board that says what their money achieved.
Keep it for next year
Keep the list, the logo files and the finished board. Next year most of the sponsors will be the same, and the difference between a two-hour job and a ten-minute one is whether you kept the originals.
Do this automatically
Sponsor Wall does the sizing, background removal and tiering described above, and exports every format at once. Free to organise and preview.
