Thank you to our sponsors: wording that does not sound like a form letter

The heading on a sponsor board is doing more work than it looks. It sets the tone for the whole page, and the default, "Our Sponsors", says nothing at all.

Straightforward and warm

"Thank you to our sponsors" is hard to beat. It is plain, it is sincere, and nobody has ever objected to it.

Variations that still read naturally: "With thanks to our sponsors and supporters", "We are grateful to everyone who supported this event", "Made possible by our sponsors".

When the sponsors are the story

If the board is the main event, a wall at the entrance or a full page in a programme, lead with the people: "The organisations who made today possible", or "Our thanks, to every one of them".

For a charity or community event

Warmth carries further than formality here. "None of this happens without them", "Thank you for backing us", "Supported by our local businesses".

If the money went somewhere specific, say so: "Together they funded 240 hot meals this winter" does more for a sponsor than a logo alone.

For a sports club

Clubs usually have long-standing sponsors, and longevity is worth naming: "Backing the club since 2011", "Our sponsors, season after season".

The sub-heading

One line under the heading is the place for specifics: the event name, the year, or what the sponsorship paid for. "The Example Festival 2026" is more useful than a second helping of gratitude.

What to avoid

Avoid "A big thank you to all our amazing sponsors!!". Exclamation marks and intensifiers read as filler and make the page feel less sincere, not more.

Avoid listing tiers in the heading ("Our Gold, Silver and Bronze Partners"). Let the layout show the tiers and keep the words simple.
