This Privacy Policy explains how Web Matter ("we", "us", "our") handles your personal data when you use Web Matter · Seizure Tracker at webmatter.co.uk/seizure-tracker.

We take the privacy of your data seriously and aim to handle it responsibly. We are a small UK-based operator and we endeavour to follow good data handling practices where reasonably practicable.

We do not collect your payment card details — these are handled entirely by Stripe.

3. Sensitive health data

Seizure records and medical notes are sensitive personal data. You provide this information voluntarily for the purpose of your own personal health record-keeping. We store it only to provide the service and do not access, share, or use it for any other purpose.

We do not use your data for marketing, profiling, or any purpose beyond providing the application.

Your account data and seizure records are retained for as long as your account is active. You may delete individual entries at any time from within the application, and you can delete your entire account and all associated data directly from the app's Profile section.

You may also contact us at info@webmatter.co.uk to request account deletion and we will endeavour to action this promptly.

7. Data security

We take reasonable technical steps to protect the data stored within this application, including password-protected database access and HTTPS connections. However, no system can be guaranteed to be completely secure, and we cannot warrant that your data will never be subject to unauthorised access or loss.

Please use a strong, unique password for your account. You are responsible for keeping your login credentials safe.

8. Your data requests

You can access, correct, or export most of your data directly within the application at any time. You can also delete your account and all associated data from the Profile section of the app.

If you would like to make any other request relating to your personal data — such as asking what we hold or requesting deletion — please contact us at info@webmatter.co.uk and we will do our best to assist.

If you have concerns about how we handle your data, you may wish to raise these with the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk.

9. Cookies

This application uses cookies in two categories:

Strictly necessary: A session cookie (st_auth) keeps you logged in. This is required for the application to function and cannot be disabled.

Analytics (optional): If you accept analytics cookies, we collect anonymous page view data (page visited, device type, referring site, country). No personal data is stored and no third-party services are used. You can accept or decline this when you first visit, and change your preference at any time via our Cookie Policy page.

No advertising, retargeting, or cross-site tracking cookies are used under any circumstances.

10. Children

This service is intended for users aged 18 and over. We do not knowingly collect data from children. If you believe a child has provided us with personal data, please contact us so we can delete it.

11. Changes to this policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Where reasonably practicable, we will try to notify you of significant changes. Continued use of the application after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the updated policy.
