Why this matters

The email-and-spreadsheet trap.

Every UK club running a competition has lived this. You post the event on Facebook. Entries arrive by email — some on the form attachment you sent, some not, some with the parent's name where the fighter's should be, some with no club listed, some replied to a thread from last year. You copy-paste them into a spreadsheet. Then someone realises they typed the wrong weight category. Then a fighter cancels and you have to fix the bracket. Then on event morning you discover three competitors who entered but never paid.

It's how clubs have done it forever. It also costs you about three hours per event in copy-paste-and-correct work, and produces 80% of the disputes that surface on the day.

Is online registration free? +
Free Registration is a standard feature on every package — Quick Match (£39), Starter (£149), Standard (£349), Professional (£799) and Federation (£7,999/yr). You can collect competitor entries online, customise the form fields, and approve entries with one click. Paid registration with Stripe-powered card payments unlocks at the Standard tier and above.
Can I charge an entry fee? +
Yes, on Standard, Professional and Federation tiers. We use Stripe for payment processing — entries are marked paid automatically when the card clears. Refunds are handled through your Stripe dashboard.
What fields can I collect? +
Name, club, weight, age, grade, gender, dietary requirements, parental consent, photography opt-in, and any custom fields you need. The form is configurable per event so you can collect exactly what your scrutineering team requires.
How does approval work? +
Entries land in a moderation queue. The event organiser reviews each one, approves with a click, and the competitor flows straight into your contestant list and the right category. Reject with a click if a registration doesn't fit. Approval can be auto-on for paid registrations if you want zero-touch processing.
Can competitors update their own entry? +
Yes. Each registration confirmation includes a unique edit link the competitor or their parent can use to update details up until the registration deadline. Saves you the email back-and-forth when somebody realises they typed the wrong belt grade.
What about parental consent for under-18s? +
You can require a parental consent checkbox and signature field on the form. We capture the timestamp and IP and keep an audit trail for safeguarding purposes. The data is stored alongside the competitor record and exported with results.
