Terms and conditions
These terms cover your use of this website and, once we launch, buying from us. Madrasah Bag is a trading name of Webmatter. Email: madrasahbag@webmatter.co.uk.
Part A: using this website
1. Pre-launch
The satchel is not yet on sale. Joining the waitlist is free, doesn't commit you to buying, and doesn't guarantee availability, price or delivery dates.
2. Waitlist discount
Waitlist members who join before launch will be emailed a single-use code for 10% off one satchel. It's valid for 14 days from the launch email, one per email address, can't be combined with other offers, and has no cash value. If we don't launch, no code is issued.
3. Content
Our guides are general information, not professional or religious advice. For religious rulings, ask a qualified scholar or your imam. Text, illustrations and design belong to Webmatter unless stated otherwise. You may share links, but not copy content wholesale.
4. Acceptable use
Don't misuse the site: no attempts to break security, spam our forms, or scrape it in ways that affect its performance.
Part B: terms of sale (from launch)
This part applies once we start taking orders. We'll show these terms at checkout.
5. Your order
Your order is an offer to buy. The contract is formed when we email to confirm it's been dispatched, or accepted if made to order. If we can't accept your order, for example because an item is unavailable, we'll tell you and refund you in full.
6. Prices and payment
Prices are in pounds sterling and include VAT where applicable. Delivery charges are shown before you pay. Payment is taken at checkout by our payment provider. If we make an obvious pricing error, we'll contact you before dispatch.
7. Delivery
See our delivery policy. The goods are your responsibility once delivered to you or to someone you nominate.
8. Your right to cancel
You can cancel within 14 days of receiving your order, without giving a reason, under the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013. See returns and refunds. This doesn't apply to items personalised to your specification, such as embossed initials, unless they're faulty.
9. Faulty goods and your legal rights
Goods must be as described, of satisfactory quality and fit for purpose (Consumer Rights Act 2015). If they aren't, you're entitled to a remedy. See returns and refunds. Nothing in these terms affects your statutory rights.
10. Natural materials
Full-grain leather varies in colour, texture and markings from hide to hide and darkens with use. This is normal and not a fault.
11. Our liability
We're responsible for loss or damage you suffer that is a foreseeable result of our breaking these terms or failing to use reasonable care. We don't exclude liability where it would be unlawful to do so, including for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or for fraud.
Part C: general
12. Changes
We may update these terms. The version on the site when you place an order applies to that order.
13. Complaints
Email madrasahbag@webmatter.co.uk. We aim to reply within 5 working days.
14. Law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales. If you live in Scotland or Northern Ireland, you can also bring proceedings in your local courts.
