Cookie policy
The cookies used on this website and how to control them.
Last updated 27 October 2026
This policy explains how webmatter.co.uk uses cookies and similar technologies. Cookies are small text files that a website stores on your device.
What we use
| Cookie | Purpose | Type | Lasts |
|---|---|---|---|
| moove_gdpr_popup | Remembers your choice in the cookie banner so we do not keep asking | Essential | Up to 12 months |
We do not use analytics, advertising or tracking cookies of our own on webmatter.co.uk. Because we only use an essential cookie, the banner mainly lets you confirm your choice. If we add any non-essential cookies in future, we will ask for your consent first and update this page.
Other sites on this domain
We run several separate sites and tools under webmatter.co.uk. Because they share the same domain, a cookie set by one can be visible to the browser on another. Where a site sets its own cookies, for example to remember a cookie choice or keep a basket, it says so on that site.
Cookies from other organisations
Some links on our pages are affiliate links to other organisations’ websites. When you click one, that organisation or the affiliate network that tracks the click may set cookies on your device so a purchase can be credited to us. Those cookies are set on their website under their own policy. We do not control them. See our affiliate disclosure.
Our images are delivered through an image service (Optimole). It does not set cookies for tracking, but it receives your IP address and browser details when images load, as explained in our privacy policy.
How to control cookies
- Use the cookie banner on this website to review or change your choice.
- Change your browser settings to block or delete cookies. Instructions are in your browser’s help section, and at aboutcookies.org.
Blocking essential cookies may stop parts of a site working properly.
