Mosque bag for Jummah and Taraweeh: what to bring

For Jummah

• Pocket Quran or Quran app
• Tasbih and miswak
• A cloth bag for your shoes, since racks overflow on Fridays
• Attar, if you wear it

For taraweeh in Ramadan

• Water bottle, as long prayers in warm halls are thirsty work
• A small snack for after
• A travel prayer mat for overflow spaces and car parks
• A light layer for the walk home
• A pocket Quran if you follow along with a khatm

Taking children to the mosque

• Their own topi or hijab
• Juz 'Amma to read quietly
• A quiet, soft activity for younger ones
• A named bag, as they get mixed up (lost bags)

Keeping the Quran safe in a mosque bag

Keep the Quran in its own cover, away from bottles and snacks, and don't leave the bag on the floor where people walk. See carrying the Quran respectfully.
