The adab angle
Many parents prefer the Quran not to be mixed in with PE kit, lunchboxes and toys. A dedicated madrasah bag, bag or not, solves that. If your child uses their school backpack, give the Quran its own zipped cover at least.

For madrasah alone, a bag wins. If one bag has to do school and madrasah, a backpack with a padded laptop sleeve used as the Quran compartment is a reasonable compromise.
